View my projects for my Introduction to Video Production for Interactive Media class. The purpose of this course is to enhance photographic, audio, animation, time based design, cinematography, and video skills, while developing an understanding of different aspects of pre- and post- production practices. Take a look, and let me know what you think!
Coming Up Next
This is a 15 second "coming up next" commercial for American Idol. I recorded the sounds with a Zoom H4N, edited audio in Adobe Audition, and animated the text and graphics in After Effects. I drew all the graphics in Adobe Illustrator.
Production Company Bumper
The goal of this short animation was to develop basic animation skills and combine them with audio to present information about ourselves. I used Adobe After Effects to make this bumper.
High-Key INterview
This interview was filmed with a Panasonic HMC40. We used a high-key light setting and recorded all sound with external microphones. This was a group project, and my primary role during filming was controlling the lights. In post-production, my specific duties included cutting and organizing the scenes, determining the flow of the interview, creating all the graphics, and animating the graphics.
Short Narrative
Using a Panasonic HMC40, I filmed this video and created a narrative to contrast the activity of everyday life with the peacefulness of nature. I used high contrast and harsh color to emphasize the overwhelming feelings of balancing various activities, while I used softer light and greens and yellows to represent serenity. After filming, I edited my shots in Adobe Premier.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I filmed this 30 second video with a Panasonic HMC40. The assignment was to "illustrate" a word with simple video techniques. The word I chose was boredom. The goal was to learn the basics of video acquisition and how time effects design and narrative. We were not permitted to do any editing except for trimming the last clip to fit the time allotment.
The Places You'll Go
This photo montage for my Introduction to Video class represents the part of my life that is constantly in motion. Between school, work, clubs, and friends, I am always in the mind frame of "go, go, GO!" The pictures show the different shoes I wear for my activities, and the music reflects my upbeat attitude in all that I do. I used a Canon Rebel DSLR camera to take the pictures, and I sorted them in Adobe Bridge. After enhancing the still shots in Photoshop, I used Premier to create a short video.
